Playground Games' open-world racing game - "Forza Horizon 3" recently rolled out a patch for PC players that was initially believed to contain the usual content. However, the latest tweak was stashed with stuff that were not supposed to be there and even gave players quite a headache.

Last January 3, PC players were prompted to download the latest game tweak for "Forza Horizon 3." Nonetheless, the aforementioned patch accidentally included a so-called "unencrypted developer build" that contained vehicles that are yet to be added into the title, Kotaku reported.

Some of the cars that were added by mistake include the 2011 Lamborghini Sesto Elemento, 1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX, and a 1995 Nissan Nismo GT-R LM. Some faithfuls even managed to take screenshots of the entirety of the leaked roster and posted it on both Reddit and NeoGAF.

Meanwhile, the not so good part of the update came when players' saved files were corrupted by the time it was downloaded, Windows Central stated. Forza's Brian Ekberg, on the other hand, was quick enough in releasing a statement about the fiasco including a workaround to fix the issue.

According to Ekberg, the haywired update has been scrapped and was replaced with a cleaner one. Moreover, he advised players to uninstall the game and re-install it once again to finally resolve the glitch. In addition, Ekberg further explained that creating a new saved game with the patch labeled .37.2 will just render it as a corrupted one. He then urged fans to play the game on the .35.2 patch to avoid problems along the way.

The game's publisher, Microsoft, was asked about the leaked roster of unreleased cars. Nevertheless, the tech firm refused to make a statement about it and said they have nothing to announce at the moment.

Here is a clip talking about the accidental release of the game's developer's build:
