Vivo's V5 series is announcing another selfie-centric handset on its lineup under the name V5 Plus. The said smartphone is slated for a release in India after the company sent out press invites for an event on Jan. 23.
In the past, Vivo launched the V5 smartphone in India, which is offered with outstanding selfie cameras in the mid-range segment. Now, the company is releasing the phone's successor, the V5 Plus variant, which still promises an impressive front camera snapper through its dual-front camera setup.
According to recent reports, the Vivo V5 Plus smartphone will retain its dual front camera setup with a combination of 20-megapixel and 8-megapixel sensors, coupled with Moonlight Glow flash. According to NDTV, the front-facing camera feature enables photos to improve against low-light situations.
On the rear panel, Vivo V5 Plus will sport a 20-megapixel camera, which is powered by a Sony IMX376 sensor and f/2.0 aperture. As per its design and internal chassis, the new smartphone might sport a 5.5 inch full HD display with resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and may carry a 4GB of RAM with 32 GB of internal storage, as reported by Android Pure.
Other details on the V5 Plus variant's processor and battery capacity include a 1.8GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor and a 3300mAh battery, integrated with Quick Charge support. In addition, the Vivo V5 Plus will run the Android 6.0 Marshmallow firmware, packed under Funtouch OS.
The Vivo V5 smartphone launched back in November sports a 5.5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) IPS display. As per its internal chassis, the device is powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6750 SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM.
Apart from the 20-megapixel front camera, the Vivo V5 packs a 13-megapixel rear camera with a single-LED flash and PDAF. It packs a 32GB of inbuilt storage, which is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card, and houses a 3000mAh battery.
The Vivo V5 Plus variant's pricing is still unknown, though reports claim that the smartphone might be pegged on a higher price than its predecessor. The Vivo V5 was priced at Rs 17,980 on its release.
