"Valkyria Revolution" gets more story information with SEGA's release. New information on the background of the Five Grave Sinners was also revealed.
The game company revealed on the official website of the video game more information about what really happened that made the Five Grave Sinners act this way. It started 10 years ago before the beginning of the main story. Claudius, the Second Prince of the former Ruzhien Kingdom, used to believe of a legend that the old heroes and politicians received the blessing of the Valkyria in the form of a contract ring.
After the prince's thorough investigations, he found out that the legend might be true and saw a reference to the temple of the Valkyria in Molda. This was a region annexed to the Jutland Kingdom. He sought for an inspection of the area and found the ring in the temple and summoned a Valkyria to make a contract with her.
There was an orphanage in Molda that Cladius and his soldiers illegally occupied and was in the way of his survey. He ordered to burn it down, the children killed, and the teacher who took care of them was kidnapped. Only five children survived who vowed to take revenge on the prince and the four officers who took part in the attack.
Several years later, the children, led by the game's hero Amleth, sprung an assassination attempt on Cladius. As he swung his sword at the prince, he was blocked by the legendary Valkyria and failed to finish the mission. Several years after the incident, an economic embargo against Jutland started, which made Amleth lead the country into war against the oppressors.
On another post on the official website of the video game, four of the Five Grave Sinners' information was given more detail. Suleiman Kahlenberg is a man who made it into power through politics. He was the first to advocate for war when the Empire started to apply pressure on the country.
Basil Savanju is a man who got power through finance, and inherited the magical factory from the man who adopted him. He increased its success by going deep into the business world of the Jutland kingdom.
Fleat Eriksen is a man who got power through propaganda and became the leading columnist in the kingdom. His speeches can stir the feelings of the public opinion, which was very important for the war.
Violet Sand is a woman who got power through information gathering, and became a very good intelligence gatherer. She uses her beautiful looks, her sexy body, and cheerful personality to get the needed information the kingdom needs.
