Super Junior's Heechul showed love for his group mate Kyuhyun by teasing him on tvN's "New Journey to the West." Heechul appeared in the Jan. 8 broadcast.
The cast of "New Journey to the West 3" were waiting for cast members Lee Soo Geun and Kang Ho Dong who, at the time, were filming for "Ask Us Anything," Soompi reported. Heechul, who also stars in "Ask Us Anything," jumped in the "New Journey to the West" van and jokingly talked like a host.
He revealed that he was surprised to see Kyuhyun join "New Journey to the West 3." Kyuhyun jokingly replied that he's there only because SM Entertainment put there. After that, Heechul jokingly announced that Kyuhyun is enlisting in the military after he wraps up filming for "New Journey to the West."
Meanwhile, Super Junior are confirmed to make a comeback in the latter half of 2017, which is around the time when most of the other members have completed their military enlistment.
According to Koreaboo, Eunhyuk and Donghae are expected to be discharged in July. Eunhyuk is currently serving in the military band while Donghae is on duty as a conscripted policeman. Siwon will be discharged in August after completing his service as a conscripted policeman.
Yesung, however, will not be able to participate in Super Junior's comeback album and activities this year as he won't be discharged until 2018. Kyuhyun, on the other hand, may or may not be able to take part in the album as he is scheduled to join the military this year.
"I'm the last member left in Super Junior [to enlist]. I will probably be saying goodbye to all of you sometime this year," Kyuhyun said about his impending enlistment. He said, however, that he's not worried about joining the military and that there's no pressure on him since he will be the last Super Junior member to serve.
Recording is presumed to start on August, since most of the members will be available by then. Kyuhyun may be able to record his parts for the album, but may no longer participate in the following promotional activities.
