HMD Global just unveiled the new Nokia Android smartphone but others are still waiting for their big guns. The Nokia C9 is one long rumored device but its specs may still appear soon.
The Nokia 6 smartphone is HMD Global's mid-end device for the mainstream market, battling the likes of the Galaxy A series from Samsung. It features 4GB RAM but a weak Snapdragon 430 processor that is still able to take care of everyday tasks for the average user.
Nokia C9 specs initially started with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC with a 64-bit processor and 4GB RAM, Android Headlines reported. Since the rumors seem to be outdated, it may be safe to assume that the Nokia flagship Android smartphone may carry the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 considering that it has not been revealed yet by HMD Global.
It may start at 64GB since their new smartphone does the same. With the advent of high-quality smartphone cameras, the device's rear may feature a 21MP shooter while the front camera may be powered by an 8MP snapper.
The Nokia C9 specs may also include a 5.5-inch QHD screen since the leaked photos already show one such variant. HMD Global may also release a Nokia flagship smartphone with a 5.2-inch screen, Digital Trends has learned.
Just like the Nokia 6 smartphone, the flagship smartphones will also run Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. The Android OS might use Nokia's predictive Z-Launcher for their own branding.
There may also be the addition of Nokia's digital assistant Viki which is currently in development. It is a far cry considering that HMD Global does not own that particular aspect of Nokia but it is still possible nonetheless.
HMD Global may reveal the Nokia C9 specs or the actual name of their flagship smartphones at the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2017 in Barcelona. Price and release dates are also expected to be unveiled seeing as they already revealed the Nokia 6.
