An Eminem and Ed Sheeran collaboration song is likely to be something the fans want to see in the upcoming album of the "Rap God" rapper. While there is no hint about such a collaboration yet, Sheeran recently mentioned Eminem during a recent "Zach Sang Show" episode.
In the episode, Sheeran shared a story relayed to him by Rick Rubin. The story was about how the "Rap God" rapper proves that Kendrick Lamar does not have a ghostwriter. the two rappers.
"Eminem heard that Kendrick Lamar was the best rapper and he invited him to the studio to get him on a song," Sheeran said. "He arrived and Kendrick came with all his mates and Eminem said, 'I just want you in the studio, just you on your own and then my engineer is gonna come in and then record you doing it, but your mates aren't allowed in.'"
According to Sheeran, Lamar complied and wrote an excellent verse. After everyone came in to listen to it, Eminem revealed that he did it to test Lamar because the former thought the latter had a ghostwriter.
When Eminem realized that Lamar did not have a ghostwriter, the "Rap God" rapper claimed Taylor Swift's "Bad Blood" collaborator was the best. For Sheeran, this is "kinda cool."
Eminem and Lamar collaborated in the song "Love Game." The collaboration was one of the 16 songs in Eminem's eighth studio album "The Marshall Mathers LP 2," which was released on Nov. 5, 2013.
"The Marshall Mathers LP 2" is the most recent studio album released by Eminem. Also included in the album are the songs "Rap God," "The Monster" featuring Rihanna and "Headlights" featuring Nate Ruess.
Fans are still waiting for the release of Eminem's ninth studio album. Meanwhile, on Jan. 5, Thursday, Sheeran dropped two new tracks titled "Castle on the Hill" and "Shape of You" and announced his third studio album titled "÷," which is expected to be released before 2018.
