The iPad Pro's price has been reduced by $100. Speculations have it that the price cut indicates that Apple may launch its successor, the iPad Pro 2 very soon.
Apple's retailing partner Best Buy is now selling the 9.7-inch iPad Pro with a discount of $100. With the discount, the 32 GB Wi-Fi variant of the tablet that is usually priced at $599 is now selling for $499 with free shipping.
As of this writing, there is no confirmation on the last date of the offer, GSM Arena reported. It is available in four colors like Silver, Gold, Space Gray and Rose Gold. Best Buy is also selling an open-box models for $474 and $464.
The discounted tablet comes with attractive features like Retina display, Touch ID fingerprint sensor, Wi-Fi 802.11ac and around 10 hours of battery life. It comes with a super-slim chassis of 6.1 mm. It is decked with four speakers.
The tablet is powered by Apple A9X chipset and it houses a 12-megapixel iSight camera. It also features a 5-megapixel FaceTime HD camera. The device also supports accessories such as Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard accessories that can be purchased separately.
Even though Apple has not confirmed on releasing 2017 iPad Pro models, speculations are rife that the company would be announcing 3 iPad Pro models in March 2017. The 12.9-inch iPad Pro 2 is rumored to arrive with Apple A10X chipset.
A new iPad Pro 2 model with a screen size of 10.5-inch is also said to be in works. It is expected to come with super-slim bezels. It also expected to feature Apple A10X chipset under its hood. The 9.7-inch iPad Pro 2 is expected to get refreshed in March.
The rumor mill is silent on the upgraded edition of iPad Mini 4 that was released in 2015. As of this writing, there are no concrete rumors that hint about the arrival of iPad Mini 5 or iPad Mini Pro in the coming future.
