Sword fighting game "For Honor" will have its multiplayer beta period for four days later this month. This follows the alpha test Ubisoft has given last year, which weeded out some of the game's bugs.
The beta period will run from Jan. 26 to 29, and it will support multiple platforms including the PC, PS4, and Xbox One, according to Game Spot. The closed beta will require players to sign up, and while it began in December 2016, the registration is still open.
Players interested in joining the closed beta can still sign up on the official website of the game for a chance to get in. The site offers players the choice between the three in-game factions. Once chosen, the players will be aligned with the faction, with the game tracking the stats for each during the beta.
The three factions are Knights of the Iron Legion, Warborn Vikings and the Samurai of the Dawn Empire. The players will participate in a cross-platform battle global domination. Players will still award points to their chosen faction even if they choose to play as another warrior in some of the matches.
Basically, the War Assets are awarded at the end of every match played, and the number of points awarded will depend entirely on the player's performance during the fight. The points are also attainable even if players fight against AI instead of real players.
The factions are part of the promotional program of the game called the "War of the Factions," and the members of the top faction will receive an exclusive reward. Thankfully, all beta testing participants will receive separate rewards, which are currently unspecified but will be available once the full game is released.
"For Honor" will be released on Feb. 14 for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One. The game will have a $220 Collector's Edition, which features a 14-inch statue for players willing to shell out more money.
