Vampires will soon roam the various in-game worlds of "The Sims 4." The upcoming new game pack "The Sims 4: Vampires" is set to add new residential lots with different lot sizes, new Create-A-Sim (CAS) elements, build and buy items and more to Electronic Arts' popular life simulation game.
Supernaturals have been one of the iconic game characters in "The Sims'" gaming franchise with the said creatures appearing in both "The Sims 2" and "The Sims 3." Game publisher Electronic Arts and game developers Maxis and The Sims Studio will soon add a specific immortal being to the "The Sims 4" with its Vampires themed game pack.
Titled "The Sims 4: Vampires," the upcoming game pack will not only introduce the said creatures to the game, developers have also added a slew of new items including a new residential world named "Forgotten Hollow." Avid gamers who are looking for an in-game location to build homes for their Sim characters will soon get five additional lots, according to an announcement posted on "The Sims" website.
However, the environment of the said new in-game world will be very different from other "The Sims 4" locations. With a creepy and gothic vibe, night-time lasts longer in "Forgotten Hollow" which is perfect for vampire Sims.
Meanwhile, a recent Twitter Q&A session held by "The Sims 4" team, as posted on the fansite Sims Community, revealed some interesting details about the upcoming game pack such as the lot sizes. Of the five new lots included in the Vampire-themed DLC, two are 30x30 lots with another two sized at 30x20 while the remaining lot is at 40x30.
Gamers can also expect to find get new lot traits where one can even increase the chances of Vampire Sims visiting an in-game home or lot. Game developers also added new Sims actions such as a Vampire coffin Woohoo move, Vampire sparring and more.
Moreover, the upcoming "The Sims 4" game pack will include a slew of new abilities and supernatural powers. Players can even choose their Vampire Sim's powers, strengths and weaknesses such as increased protection from the sun.
"The Sims 4: Vampires" game pack is slated for release on Jan. 24 for PC and Mac. Learn more about the upcoming DLC in the clip below:
