Fresh information has revealed that a Snapdragon 835 powered Nokia 8 smartphone would be announced at MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2017 next month.
Nokia smartphone brand has been relaunched in the market by HMD Global through the announcement of Nokia 6 midrange smartphone. Since it is not a flagship smartphone, Nokia fans are expecting the company to release a true flagship smartphone soon.
At the launch event of Nokia 6 that was held in China, HMD Global hinted that it would be announcing a new smartphone on Feb. 26, a day prior to the beginning of MWC 2017. Rumors are rife that the company would be more than one device at the tech event. A true flagship powered with Snapdragon 835 is also expected to get unleashed at MWC 2017.
Total Tech has revealed leaked photos of an alleged Nokia flagship that is codenamed as Nokia Supreme. It is speculated to launch in the market as Nokia 8. It will be driven by Snapdragon 835 chipset. One of the USPs of the device will be its 24-megapixel camera with OIS. It is expected to come with best EIS ever released on a smartphone
Nokia is also rumored to launch another variant of Nokia 8 that will be powered by Snapdragon 821 SoC. It is also expected to feature a lesser camera. Both the editions are expected to feature 5.7-inch Super AMOLED quad HD display. These phones are expected to be flanked with two front-facing speakers.
According to Gizmo China, the smartphone will feature a 12-megapixel front-facing snapper. It is expected to be available in two storage editions of 64 GB and 128 GB along with microSD card slot support. Since Android 7.0 Nougat is available preinstalled on Nokia 6, rumors have it that the Nokia 8 will be also preloaded with Google's latest mobile OS, Softpedia reported.
The video by Total Tech states that the Nokia Supreme was seen at Qualcomm's booth at CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2017 that was held in the previous week. However, nobody seems to have noticed the Nokia's upcoming flagship.
