"Big Hero 6" is an animation, action, and adventure movie, which chronicled a deep relationship between Takashi's inflatable robot, Baymax, and his younger brother, Hiro. Hiro, together with Baymax, teamed up with his brother's friends. Eventually, they became a team. Both children and adults were happy to meet Baymax, the robot health care provider. Now, speculations arose regarding a sequel to the film.
The film was released last November 07, 2014. As of March 11, 2015, the film has got an estimated domestic gross of $221 million and estimated foreign gross of $383 million, for an estimated gross total of $604 million.
The film was directed by Don Hall and Chris Williams, with Roy Conli and John Lasseter as producers. Jordan Roberts was Hall's co-writer. "Big Hero 6" was liked by the audience that it also won an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature.
There is a speculation in Christian Today saying that Hiro's brother, Tadashi, might still be alive. The film showed that Tadashi died in the story, but it could turn out later on that he secretly lived from the accident. Some rumors suggest Takashi as a part of the team, needing a title change to "Big Hero 7."
Despite being Disney's third highest-grossing animated film, following "Frozen" and "Lion King", "Big Hero 6" directors still believe that a major requisite to a sequel is having a substantial story.
Director Don Hall shared is thought in Creative Screenwriting. "[Executive Producer] John Lassater's very supportive of the directors, and he won't force them to put out a sequel unless they have a story that really excited about," he said. "It has to feel like a story has to be told, or deserves to be told. It can't just be cashing in on the success of a previous film," he added.
The directors said that a second installment could be possible but no official announcement has been made yet. Moreover, fans would be delighted if they learn that a sequel to the film is going to take place.
