Google Pixel 2017 leaked renders have emerged. The images suggest that the smartphone would be arriving with improved design.
The first-generation Google Pixel smartphone lineup were released last year to replace the Nexus smartphone lineup. The alleged Google Pixel 2017 renders indicate that the smartphone would be coming with smaller bezels at the top and bottom of the screen.
The images show two speaker grilles placed below the display. This indicates that the Google Pixel 2 will be featuring stereo speakers, Gizmo China reported. It edges are flanked with various buttons such as two separate volume controlling buttons and power key.
The rear side of the smartphone shows it does not feature two-tone design that is available on the original Google Pixel phones. The rear side of the device is made up of glass and center-aligned camera. Below the rear shooter is the fingerprint reader.
The bottom side of Google Pixel 2 in the leaked renders show presence of a USB Type-C port. The topside of the device has a 3.5 mm audio jack. Apart from the appearance of the device, nothing else is revealed about the smartphone.
The Google Pixel smartphones were made official in October 2016. Its successors are expected to launch in the last quarter of 2017. Since most flagships are driven by Snapdragon 835, the Google Pixel 2017 is also expected to feature the same SoC. Since it is arriving later in 2017, it may also feature an upgraded edition of SD 835.
The first-generation Google Pixel smartphones suffer from two main problems. The first issue is low battery life on some models and the second one is distortion and cracking sound output when the audio is played at high volumes. Investigations have revealed that the second issue an hardware issue that can be solved through a software update, BGR reported.
Google is expected to resolve these issues on the successor phones for Google Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones. Even though HTC had assembled first-generation Pixel phones, they were not sold as HTC devices. There is no confirmation on which company will be collaborating with Google to build the Pixel 2 smartphones.
