The latest details for "Tekken 7" will feature a release date announcement next week and new information about the sequel at the Taipei Game Show 2017.
It seems that gaming fans will not have to wait longer for "Tekken 7's" release date as game designer Michael Murray announced on social media that the launch date announcement for the sequel will happen sometime next week, EventHubs reported.
"Tekken 7's" release date has been the subject of numerous rumors and speculations. It is hinted that the sequel could launch on February as Swedish retailing website Komplett placing the sequel on Feb. 12 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and the PC platforms.
However, product manager Andreas Juliusson posted on the "Tekken" reddit page that the Feb.12 launch date by Komplett is "inaccurate" and is just a limitation in their system which forces an upcoming product on their website to have a release date in order to get published.
Bandai Namco adamantly wanted gaming fans to know that the release date is not true and that retail store should revert back 2017. Juliusson promised that an official release date for "Tekken 7" is going to arrive later this month and gaming fans will found out next week.
Meanwhile, Bandai Namco will likely reveal new game details for "Tekken 7" at the 2017 Taipei Game Show event.
According to event's official website, Bandai Namco will be an exhibitor during the show and it is unknown if game diretor Katsuhiro Harada will make an appearance.
Previous reports teased that Bandai Namco will have a possible "Tekken 7" Nintendo Switch version as he was surprised about the unveiling of the new Nintendo console, giving gaming fans a slight of hope of "Tekken 7" being available to other gaming platforms.
The publication also asked Harada if would support Sony and Microsoft’s upgraded consoles, namely the Xbox One S and PlayStation 4 Pro. According to Harada, these gaming platforms are relatively new and it is hard for him to confirm anything at the moment.
Bandai Namco also announced that "Tekken 7" will feature an "Online Tournament" mode for "Tekken 7" for the consoles. The Online Tournament mode will allow gamers to play with up to eight different players from around the world via online play. In addition, they can also get to chat with the players while spectating the tournament.
"Tekken 7" will launch in early 2017 for the PS4, Xbox One and the PC.
