Xiaomi's upcoming flagship is expected to arrive in three variants namely, Xiaomi Mi 6 Youth, Mi 6 Standard and Mi 6 Premier.
Xiaomi Mi 6 Youth
The rumored Xiaomi Mi 6 Youth will be a lowest priced variant that will be powered by MediaTek Helio X30 SoC. This chipset is built with 10nm process and it features deca-core processor that includes two Cortex A73 cores working at 2.8 GHz, four Cortex A53 cores with processing speeds of 2.2 GHz and four Cortex A35 cores running at 2 GHz.
The Helio X30 SoC is said to be a budget alternative to Snapdragon 835 SoC from Qualcomm. The SoC also features PowerVR 7XT series GPU. The Helio X30's performance will be coupled with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage.
There is no confirmation whether it will feature a full HD or quad HD display. The budget flagship is expected to be priced at CNY 1,999 ($290).
Xiaomi Mi 6 Standard
The alleged Xiaomi Mi 6 Standard will be arriving with an OLED screen that will carry support for quad HD resolution. It will be driven by Snapdragon 835 SoC and 4 GB of RAM. Its native storage will be 128 GB. It will be featuring a dual camera system. Speculations indicate that this variant will be priced at CNY 2,499 ($363).
Xiaomi Mi 6 Premier
The rumored Xiaomi Mi 6 Premier will be a premium flagship featuring a dual edge curved OLED display. It is expected to sport a ceramic rear panel.
It is expected to be powered by Snapdragon 835 SoC. It is expected to come with advanced internals like 6 GB of RAM and 256 GB of native storage. It is pegged to cost CNY 2,999 ($436), Phone Arena reported.
Other specs include MIUI 9 based Android 7.0 Nougat OS, a 4,000 mAh battery with fast charging capabilities and a physical Home button enabled fingerprint scanner. The Xiaomi Mi 6 is rumored to come in color choices like Black, White and Blue.
During the Geek Park Innovation conference that was held in Beijing, Xiaomi's VP Li Wanqiang hinted that the company would be releasing a "surprise product" in March, NDTV reported. This indicates that the Xiaomi Mi 6 may get announced at MWC (Mobile World Congress) that will be held between Feb. 27 to March 2.
