Real Betis has been reeling as of late with four winless performances in their last six outings. The team has lost two of their last three matches to drop to the 14th spot of the league table, still nine points above the bottom three relegation area but a long 10 points below Villarreal and the final Europa League qualifying slot for next season.

Los Verdiblancos was nipped by contending team Atletico Madrid, 0-1, on the road at the Vicente Calderón Stadium in their most recent La Liga fixture last Saturday, as per Goal.

Head coach Victor Sanchez's side surrendered the first goal of the match to Argentine midfielder Nicolas Gaitan in the eighth minute, giving the hosts a one-point lead early.

The Béticos were not able to answer back as the two teams went scoreless after that initial goal handing Betis their ninth loss of the season.

Meanwhile, Sporting Gijon has continued to struggle this term as they are currently on a four-game losing slide. The team has lost five of their last six games to remain in the bottom three relegation zone, two points above 19th-place Granada and three points cellar-dwellers Osasuna.

Los Rojiblancos surrendered a disappointing 2-3 loss to middling team Eibar at their home ground of El Molinon Stadium last Sunday, via SkySports.

Eibar midfielder Adrian Gonzalez opened the scoring with a fourth-minute penalty kick before Sporting midfielder Carlos Carmona leveled the count in the ninth minute.

The visitors made it a two-goal lead as midfielder Pedro Leon and defender Antonio Luna hit one goal apiece in the 21st and 23rd minutes to take a 3-1 advantage at the break.

Sporting was able to score a goal in the second half, courtesy of Nacho Cases, but they failed to find another equalizer.
