To say the least, "Pokemon Go" was the breakout game and app in smartphone in 2016, having been downloaded by 10 million uses in just a week after its release. However, the popularity of the location-based augmented reality game dropped with the difficulty of catching Pokemons and hatching eggs. In an attempt to gain back users, "Pokemon Go" is reported to launch the second generation of monsters soon.
Niantic, the developer of "Pokemon Go," released the first update of 2017 that updated the Apple Watch to display eggs obtained, changed distance tracking for improved accounting of GPS drift and fixed minor text.
But that is just a small part of the update as The Silph Road, a "Pokemon Go" aficionado community, found out that Niantic included 38 new moves to the game, sparking speculations that more Gen 2 monsters are on the way.
The following moves have been added: counter, powder snow, charge beam, volt switch, dragon tail, infestation, struggle bug, astonish, iron tail, fire spin, bullet seed, extrasensory, air slash, hex, snarl, close combat, dynamic punch, focus blast, aurora beam, wild charge, zap cannon, avalanche, brave bird, sky attack, sand tomb, rock blast, silver wind, night shade, gyro ball, heavy slam, overheat, grass knot, energy ball, futuresight, mirror coat, outrage, crunch and foul play.
Also, players can soon make their monsters evolve even without reaching the required level with the discovery of evolution items, namely: sun stone, kings rock, metal coat, dragon scale and upgrade. Other than that, Unown, monsters which resemble the whole alphabet, question mark and exclamation point, are rumored to have been found out.
Baby Pokemons have also been added to the update, but players need to hatch eggs first to obtain and add them to their Pokedex, Polygon reported. The likes of Pichu, who can transform into a Pikachu, Cleffa, the baby version of Clefairy, Igglybuff, the baby iteration of Jigglypuff, Togepi, who has a final evolution of Togekiss, Elekid, Smoochum, Magby and Tyroge can be expected to be hatched in eggs.
