Nintendo will be releasing the new "Fire Emblem Heroes" game for Android and iOS platforms in February. The Japanese game company seems to be targeting the mobile market with new titles.
Besides "Fire Emblem Heroes," Nintendo will also launch the "Super Mario Run" title for Android after already rolling it out for the iOS in December 2016. The company seems to be realizing the importance and value of the mobile market after the success of Niantic's "Pokemon GO."
"Fire Emblem" is a notable franchise from Nintendo with their portable consoles such as the Game Boy Advanced and the Nintendo DS devices that soon followed. The "Fire Emblem Heroes" title will be launched on iOS and Android on Feb. 2, Geek Exchange has learned.
Players familiar with the franchise will still be able to see prominent characters in the series such as Camilla, Chrom, Lyn and Marth. The art style is still similar to the previous games although there are some modifications to accomodate the user interface for smartphones.
In addition, the weapons triangle will still be upheld in the game mechanics. New players will have to familiarize themselves with the different weapon types and what they work well or weak against.
"Fire Emblem Heroes" will also keep the classic rules if they want a hardcore experience wherein a fallen character will stay dead throughout the game, Mac World reported. It means that one wrong move can be the difference in the whole experience.
One difference is the map layout of the game itself. Nintendo implemented an 8 x 6 grid of squares wherein the characters and enemies will move on. There will still be different terrain for added challenge.
"Fire Emblem Heroes" will launch on Feb. 2 for Android and iOS devices. It will most likely be a free to play game with in-app purchases.
