"Quantico" star Priyanka Chopra is a brave soul in real life. The Indian beauty queen-turned-actress recently had an accident while filming the hit crime drama, after which she admittedly stayed away from work for just "one day."
"They told me I had a concussion," the actress said on "Jimmy Kimmel Live." "I had to go home. My cook and housekeeper had to wake me up after every hour."
The former Miss World, who plays former FBI agent and CIA operative-in-training Alex Parrish, performs her own stunts for "Quantico." Opening up about the ill-fated "Quantico" stunt, she said that it was a rainy day and they were running against the time.
A seemingly bad combination of rainy road and rubber boots made the Indian beauty slip and hit her head on the ground. The accident happened despite the fact that she does her stunt for the show all the time, she said.
"We can confirm that there was a minor incident on the New York set of 'Quantico' last night and that it would be premature to comment further until we have all the information," an ABC rep told ET following the incident. "Priyanka was examined by a doctor, released and is home resting comfortably."
On Jan. 13, Chopra was notably absent from a press event in New York City attended by "Quantico" showrunner Joshua Safran. The main ensemble cast including Johanna Braddy, Blair Underwood, Jake McLaughlin, Russell Tovey and Yasmine Al Massri also attended the event.
On Jan. 16, Chopra resumed shooting New York-based crime drama. On Jan. 18, she managed to hop on to Los Angeles-bound early morning flight to attend People's Choice Awards 2017.

On Jan. 17, Chopra's rep confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that while she was still sore and stiff from her fall. However, the actress was getting stronger every day and was happy to be back at work, according to the rep.
