The latest details for "Grand Theft Auto 5" will feature a Liberty City mod in "GTA Online" soon and a Nintendo Switch version soon.
Several rumors are making rounds regarding Rockstar Games venturing new video game titles in Nintendo's new console, Nintendo Switch as the video game publisher plans to make a game especially for the console, iTech Post reported.
The speculation hinted towards "Grand Theft Auto 5" being potentially made compatible for Nintendo Switch in the future. The reason given for such a rumored development is the fact that "GTA 5" has found itself on almost all major gaming platforms across the world, in the PlayStation, Xbox consoles and even in the PC.
The problem with this however, is that Rockstar Games has not made any official updates regarding "Grand Theft Auto 5" in the Nintendo Switch or what kind of game will they make for the console. In fact, no Rockstar title has been announced as being compatible with the next-gen gaming device, as of now.
Nontheless, gaming fans will be excited to hear that "GTA 5" could be ported to the new Nintendo console and will definitely have a lot to cheer about as the Nintendo online multiplayer offering could be leveraged along with the "GTA 5" Online multiplayer functionality to create an exciting gaming atmosphere in general.
Meanwhile, Liberty City will be coming to "Grand Theft Auto 5" this year YouTube channel OpenIV team streamed a trailer which featured gamers travelling from Los Santos to Liberty City citing that everyone will go back to "where it all started".
Rather than recreating Liberty City from scratch in "GTA 5", the modders have imported "Grand Theft Auto 4’s version of the city using the OpenIV system, and games will need to have both "GTA" games installed on their PC to get it to work, along with a converter tool and OpenIV itself, VG 24/7 reported.
Liberty City is one of the few cities that were teased in the sequel's expansion and "GTA Online" along with Vice City, San Fierro and Las Venturas.
The planned expansion was originally made for "Grand Theft Auto 5's" story mode, but was scrapped by Rockstar in favor of "GTA Online".
Username SOFTSECRETS claimed that these updates have been in production since the "Grand Theft Auto 5's" development, however, Rockstar had to be put off due to the limitations of the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. If the rumor became true, then gamers could see a release of North Yankton (GTA's version of Canada) and Liberty City in the early months of this year.
"Grand Theft Auto 5" is currently available for the PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC platforms.
