Things have definitely reached a high point on the road to the 2017 Royal Rumble. Brock Lesnar is scheduled to meet Goldberg for the first time since their controversial matchup in last year's Survivor Series pay-per-view.
Aside from Kurt Angle, other 2017 WWE Hall of Famers are also rumored to be announced on the upcoming episode. Diamond Dallas Page and Rick Rude are the legendary wrestlers whose induction into the class will be announced on the show, according to Forbes.
In other news, Braun Strowman continued his domination of the Raw brand and of the WWE as a whole. He has a highly impressive 8-1-1 record in his last ten matches, which has given him lots of momentum going into the Royal Rumble on Jan. 29. He has been named as one of the favorites to win the 30-man contest and a win here would allow him to become a marquee name in the promotion, according to Bleacher Report.
However, the same could not be said for possible Rumble entrant Titus O'Neil who had recently hit a rough patch in his WWE career. He has been winless in his last 11 matches, which included being defeated by Big E on last week's Raw. Judging by his current form, he will be one of the first men eliminated from the Royal Rumble if he entered.
Raw's tag team champions Sheamus and Cesaro are also rumored take part in this year's edition of the Royal Rumble. They would take on the likes of Chris Jericho, The New Day, as well as the Wyatt Family, among others if they joined. There are 12 spots left to fill in the annual competition, with new entrants set to be announced on the upcoming Raw.
More drama, in the form of confrontations and near brawls, has also been added to the rivalry between WWE Universal champion Kevin Owens and number one contender Roman Reigns. The same has also been done for the Raw Women's championship. This will definitely hype up the Royal Rumble event, which is set to take place in just six days time.
