Robin is a well-known character in the DC universe as Batman's sidekick. There has been several versions of him and the one in "Injustice 2" seems to be taken from the classic Jason Todd story arc.

"Injustice 2" players will be able to add more gears to Robin and the other characters as they earn it through defeating more enemies in the game, Coming Soon has learned. The previous trailers have already shown Batman in gear taking on Superman and the other playable heroes and villains.

Confirmed "Injustice 2" characters include Aquaman, Supergirl, Deadshot, Atrocitus and Gorilla Grodd. More are expected to be revealed as the release date nears.

NetherRealm chief Ed Boon said during the livestream that there will also be some obscure playable characters in "Injustice 2" when it launches, Game Spot reported. He did not reveal who will appear but it is expected that they may be unveiled through trailers in the following months.

Some possible characters that may appear include Reverse Flash, Savitar, Cyborg Superman, Captain Cold, the Atom and more. There are also some characters coming from "Mortal Kombat X" which may mean that an appearance from Scorpio or Sub-Zero is highly possible.

Boon also added that the gears for "Injustice 2" characters will be earned and not paid for. Fans have expressed that other players may just pay to win throughout the game.

"Injustice 2" will roll out on May 16 for the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One. Unfortunately, a version for the PC has not been announced and the game may end up as another console exclusive.
