As for Pyne's directing career, he made his debut with the indie cult film "Where's Marlowe?" which he co-wrote with Mankiewicz. Together, they also created and produced Stanley Tucci's "The Street," which is a syndicated police procedural, and "The Marshal."

Mankiewicz' series credits also include "Tales From The Crypt" and "The Mentalist."
