Nam Joo-Hyuk, 22, is ready to give love another chance. After taking time out of the dating scene to focus on his career, the model-turned-actor has admitted he is ready to start the search for a new significant other.
Nam, who had many young girls' hearts fluttering after his performance in MBC's "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo," has expressed his intentions of dating during a sit-down interview with Korea's Woman Sense magazine, as cited by Soompi. He also shared what he looks for in a partner and how he acts when he is dating someone.
"I'm ready to fall in love with a girl who will be my source of strength as I continue my promotions as an actor," Nam revealed. "I am waiting for that kind of relationship where we can depend on each other."
While he seems like a confident person around others, Nam admitted he is usually timid around the person he likes. Nonetheless, he is the type of person who will give his all once he falls in love.
In the same interview, the actor also mentioned his interest in working with his "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo" co-star in a different drama in the future. If the opportunity arises, Nam would like to act with Lee Sung Kyung again and create a different type of fun chemistry.
Nam's statement has once again fueled rumors that he and Lee are dating. Due to their potent on-screen chemistry, many are wondering if there is any chance the two would end up in a relationship one day.
The actor, however, has already denied any romantic relationship with Lee. In late November 2016, the former made it clear that he and Lee were just friends, cheekily explaining that the latter is more like an older sister who looks after him, according to Korean newsoutlet MBC News.
Nam also addressed the adorable picture that the "Doctor Crush" actress previously posted on her Instagram account. He clarified, "That [pose] was because the water was too cold and we had to survive."
