Granada has continued to struggle this season with only one win to show after 20 rounds of Spanish top flight competitions. The team is tied on points with Osasuna but has a lesser goal differential, which dropped them to the bottom of the 20-team league table.
El Grana was blanked by contending side Villarreal, 0-2, in their most recent La Liga fixture on Jan. 28 held on the road at the Estadio de la Cerámica, as per Sporting Life.
Head coach Lucas Alcaraz's squad was not able to score a single goal throughout the match while giving away two against El Submarino Amarillo.
Spanish midfielder Bruno and his compatriot Alvaro Gonzalez netted the two goals for the hosts as they handed Granada their 12th loss this season.
Meanwhile, Las Palmas romped a 10-man Valencia side, 3-1, at their home ground of Gran Canaria Stadium last Monday, Sports Mole reported.
Valencia forward Santi Mina drew first blood in the contest with a goal in the 21st minute with the assist coming from defender Jose Luis Gaya.
Los Amarillos then knotted the score in the 42nd minute with a right-footed shot by midfielder Jonathan Viera off a pass by Ghanaian midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng, making it a 1-1 count at the break.
Head coach Quique Setién's side then netted two more goals in the second half, courtesy of Uruguayan defender Mauricio Lemos and Boateng in the 57th and 61st minutes respectively, to take the win and three points in the overall standings.
The win snapped Las Palmas' two-game winless skid as the team is now settled in the 11th spot of the league table, 15 points above the bottom three relegation zone.
