The new time-travel fantasy-romance drama series "Tomorrow With You" kicked off this weekend and received a mixed response from viewers. The tvN series premiered its first two episodes on Feb. 3, Friday and Feb. 4, Saturday.
The show's first episode registered a viewership rating of 3.9 percent while the second episode dropped to 2.1 percent, according to statistics obtained by Nielsen Korea, as cited by KPop Herald. Although the numbers are miles behind when compared with the first episode of the preceding show, "Guardian: The Great and Lonely God," which registered an average viewership rating of 6.9 percent, "Tomorrow With You" received mostly positive reviews on online forums.
"Tomorrow With You" revolves around a time traveller, Yoo So Joon (Lee Je Hoon) and his wife Song Ma Rin (Shin Min Ah), who get married in order to avoid a catastrophe in the future but end up falling head over heels in love with each other, according to Soompi. The first two episodes centred on Yoo's ability to travel back in time after revisiting the site where his parents were killed in a subway accident.
Yoo, who is the CEO of a real estate investment company, discovers that in the future Song dies in a car crash and decides to save her from her tragic fate. He tries to get closer to her in order to learn more about her, which is how they end up meeting. Anticipation is high among viewers as they are excited to watch the budding romance between Lee and Shin's characters.
"Tomorrow With You" is likely to keep viewers interested given that tvN has been responsible for some blockbuster dramas lately including last year's "Signal" and this year's "Goblin." The show's third and fourth episode will air on tvN on Feb. 10 and Feb. 11, respectively. Check out the promo of the upcoming episode below:
