The LG Watch Style and LG Watch Sport smartwatches running on Android Wear 2.0 have been officially announced in collaboration with Google.
The LG Watch Style and Watch Sport are the first smartwatches to come preloaded with Android Wear 2.0. The smartwatches will be available for buying from Feb. 10 in the U.S., GSM Arena reported.
Among the two wearables, the LG Watch Style is a smaller and cheaper smartwatch that is priced at $249 for titanium and silver color options. Its gold variant will be available for $279. It sports a IP67 certified stainless steel body along with leather straps.
It comes with a 1.2-inch round shaped P-OLED screen that offers a display resolution of 360 x 360 pixels. The display is equipped with an ambient sensor.
It is fueled by Snapdragon Wear 2100 chipset and 512 MB of RAM. The native storage of the smartwatch is 4 GB. For connectivity, it includes Bluetooth and Wi-Fi It is packed with a 240 mAh battery that can be powered up wirelessly. The LG Watch Style can be availed through Google Store and Best Buy.
The LG Watch Sport is a feature-filled smartwatch that is priced at $349that houses a bigger 1.38-inch screen that produces a resolution of 480 x 480 pixels on its P-OLED display. It is driven by the same chipset of Snapdragon Wear 2100 that present LG Watch Style. The SoC is coupled with 768 MB of RAM, a native storage of 4 GB.
It is equipped with multiple sensors such as ambient sensor, barometer, heart rate tracker, Bluetooth, NFC, Wi-Fi and LTE. It is packed with a larger battery of 340 mAh capacity and it comes with IP68 certified body. The LG Watch Sport will be available through Google Store, Best Buy, AT&T and Verizon.
With AT&T's installment plan, the LG Watch Sport can be bought with a monthly payment of $17.50 until 20 months. If the smartwatch is purchased with LG V20 or LG G5 along with a two-year contract, it can be availed with a low pricing of $49.99.
For existing subscribers, Verizon's two-year contract allows its subscribe to avail the smartwatch for $329. By spending $5 per month along with taxes and fees, it can be paired with an existing smartphone. With Single Device Plan, the LG Watch Sport comes with a monthly payment of $10 along with 1 GB of data, unlimited voice and text. Verizon will begin its pre-orders from Feb. 10.
The LG Watch Style and LG Watch Sport will be also coming to other markets in the near future such as Canada, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, Taiwan, UAE and the U.K.
