Director J.A Bayona and Universal lined up Ted Levine for a role alongside Rafe Spall, Toby Jones and Justice Smith in the upcoming "Jurassic world 2". The sequel will reportedly arrive on June 22, 2018.
Levine's role in "Jurassic World 2" has not been revealed although fans speculate an authoritative character, probably a general. This is based on his previous roles in 125 episodes of "Monk" where he played a police Captain, a general in "Wild Wild West," a cop in "Fast and Furious," and a blood thirsty killer in "The silence of The Lambs."
According to Variety, Bayona will be directing the film while Frank Marshall will be producing with the help of Belén Atienza, Pat Crowley, Steven Stielberg and Colin Trevorrow. Sara Scott, the Vice president of Universal, will also be overseeing the production on Universal's behalf.
Whilst "Jurassic World 2" begins filming this month, fans anticipate an exciting new plot from Bayona. The skilled director is best known for his work in "The Impossible," "The orphanage" and "A Monster Calls." All three films have a dark, twisted plot hence the unending predictions of a sequel with a fun, dark and political plot, Slash Film reported.
"Jurassic World" landed the biggest domestic opening with $208 million and went ahead to make a total of $1.6 million worldwide. It was among the top 5 highest grossing domestic films of all time. This only explains the excitement amongst fans for the upcoming "Jurassic World 2."
Trevorrow, who directed the previous entries of "Jurassic World" will only be co-directing because he is busy working on "Star Wars" Episode 9. He spoke of the upcoming "Jurassic World 2" and confirmed that there would be more practical effects.
Very little has been revealed about the upcoming film in the franchise. There is, however, a possibility that fans will see dinosaur soldiers as it was teased in the last film.
