Despite the upcoming "NieR: Automata" game offering an open world setting, it poses a unique problem rarely encountered by other games. Simply put, the problem revolves around the world itself lacking more content.

Platinum Games may be masters of combat and action set-pieces, but does little in an open world setting that forces traveling with few distractions and encounters, according to PC Games N. It presents a problem opposite of the open-world clutter problem found in games like "Assassin's Creed."

This is due to the fact that the world is only littered by quick-save points guarded by enemies that offer map information and modifications as well as encampments made by some resistance members players can trade items with. Other than that, the players exploring the map may encounter things to kill, but are more liable to stumble upon a wall or a pile of rubble blocking their path off.

The gameplay demonstrations involving combat often portray fluid movements and engaging encounters, reminiscent of "Final Fantasy XV" or even "Kingdom Hearts." However, it seems that the new gameplay footage features the gameplay action included in the "NieR:Automata" game's final release.

Meanwhile, according to the official Japanese Sony PlayStation website, "NieR: Automata" is going to have its exclusive PS4 console, called the Emil Edition. It features a jet-black PS4 console decorated with Emil's head on the top cover.

The console will be released alongside "NieR: Automata" on Feb. 23 in Japan, and the model will cost 33,480 yen for the 500GB version and 38,480 yen for the 1TB counterpart. Aside from the PS4 itself, it will also feature a jet-black Dualshock 4 controller, a monaural headset, a power cord, HDMI cable and USB Cable.

"NieR: Automata" will be released on North America on March 7 for the PS4, with a PC release scheduled sometime in 2017. Here is the video posted by PlayStation Underground:
