"Rocket League" will get a PlayStation 4 Pro patch soon, which will unlock its 4K and 60 frames per second support. The video game will also get the new Hot Wheels content soon as well.
Game developer Psyonix announced on the official website of the popular unique car video game that it will get a new update, which will be released next week for the PS4 consoles. This new update will contain content that will allow it to run at 4K and 60 FPS on the PS4 Pro. It will also allow 1080p and 60 FPS support on the standard PS4.
The new update will affect every arena in the video game in both single-screen and two-player split-screen modes. For players who will play split screen with three or four companions, they will see a 60 FPS framerate in most arenas at the same resolutions.
Psyonix thanked their development friends at Panic Button for making this upcoming update possible. They are excited to release it to make it official that their unique video game will finally fully support most of the PS4 Pro's superb capabilities.
The upcoming update for "Rocket League" will not just contain support for the PS4 Pro. It will come with other improvements like bug fixes and optimizations for performance issues. It will also come with the new Player's Choice crate that will have items voted on by the community.
The game developers teased that this is just the first of the many planned content updates for the video game for this year. They advise that fans will have to keep an eye out for more content in the months to come.
Aside from the PS4 Pro support, Psyonix announced on the official blog of PlayStation that there will be new contents released as well. The upcoming update, dubbed as the Hot Wheels update, will contain several new DLCs.
Players will get additional free "Rocket League" Hot Wheels-themed post-match item drops. These drops will include both Toppers and Antennas for them to use on customizations. They can also purchase the Hot Wheels premium DLC cars, the Twin Mill III and the Bone Shaker, which are both sold separately.
