After the E3 2016 announcement for the return of "Crash Bandicoot," the remastered version of the trilogy now has an official release date. The "Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy" will be released on June 30 exclusively for PS4.
The announcement of the release date came in a form of a video trailer posted in YouTube by Activision. In the video, it shows how the iconic character Crash Bandicoot gets smashed by a boulder in the original game's earliest levels.
Unfortunately, while the video shows what to expect in terms of the upgraded graphics and the definite release date for "Crash Bandicoot," it only shows little more than that. It is possible that the release date reveal means that there will be more information soon, on a much more frequent basis until its final launch.
What is known for the game, besides its upgraded graphics, is its enhanced gameplay mechanics. According to Game Rant, one of these is the modernized saving systems, ensuring that the game stays relevant to the current generation of players. However, there are more surprises along the way, as it is possible for the game to have even more updated gameplay mechanics to suit the modern consoles.
With the release date rumors already put to rest, especially the release date first leaked by the Brazilian gaming retailer Zillion Games, fans are now ready to learn about the changes in the game. After all, if the audience reception for the game turns out to be more positive, a new "Crash Bandicoot" game will be in the realm of possibilities.
Activision could be testing the waters by releasing the "N Sane Trilogy" and adding Crash to "Skylanders." If consumers are interested enough in the franchise, it could be possible for the game developer to announce a new game after the June launch of the remastered collection.
