After the Galaxy Note 7 smoke has settled, it has been announced in 2016 that both Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and Samsung Galaxy S8 will push through in 2017. It may well seem that the latter will be first enjoyed by enthusiasts as the latest leaks of S8 renders have surfaced anew.
Previous rumors about the handset fit in the bag as the spy shots of the alleged render do not have the physical home button. As expected, the images suggest that the Galaxy S8 will likely to hop in with the bezel-less bandwagon not to mention that the usual physical buttons are now situated onscreen, according to Android Authority.
The fingerprint sensor, on the other hand, will still be present on the S8. Nonetheless, it will be migrated to the device's posterior panel. The tweaked buttons of the phone are said to be in accordance with the South Korean tech firm's "change for the sake of change" approach towards Android.
Another interesting feature to watch out for is the DeX. The upcoming hardware is an HDMI docking hub where the Galaxy S8 can be placed turning it into a desktop PC.
Specs under the hood of the inbound phone are difficult to come by as of late. Nevertheless, it is expected to carry the Nougat operating system from Android and a USB Type-C 1.0 v3.1 reversible connector. Moreover, it is likely that the Galaxy S8 will carry an octa-core Snapdragon 835 chipset from Qualcomm with an Adreno 540 GPU.
The phone is also rumored to be getting a generous 4GB of random access memory (RAM) as it is believed to be released in two iterations with varying memory sizes. Reports suggest that its base version will have 64GB of memory space whilst the top end model will sport 128GB.
As for its screen size, the Galaxy S8 will sport a 5.8-inch display with a screen-to-body ratio of 84.4 percent. Moreover, it will boast a 1,440 x 2,960 screen resolution as these mentioned attributes will be protected by Corning's Gorilla Glass 5, GSM Arena reported.
It is said that the phone will not be introduced at the Mobile World Congress this February. However, both Galaxy S8 and S8+ are expected to be unveiled at Samsung's special event on March 29.
