"John Wick 3" may have already been confirmed by Keanu Reeves. "John Wick 2" director Chad Stahelski likewise shared some insights on the possible Chapter 3 of the movie.
After grossing more than $30 million last weekend, the next chapter for "John Wick" has been highly speculated online. Although lacking any direct confirmation from the director or even the leading actor, the incriminating statements they have shared are more than enough to convince their fans that a sequel will be arriving soon.
The excitement of Reeves to step back into the character of the reluctant assassin is difficult to hide. Reeves himself even shared the potential opening of the movie, according to Gentlemen's Quarterly. He believes that the opening should showcase Wick trying to escape from New York, suggesting a continued scene from the movie's chapter 2.
Reeves further opined that for Wick to escape the confines of the Big Apple, he would have to ask once more the help of the newly introduced character of Laurence Fishburne, Bowery King. Moreover, Reeves also hinted of a potential war between the High Table and the Continental. The roots of which is his existence.
Reeve's treasury of ideas for the Chapter 3 of his latest film, may be traced to his fondness for the charter of the underground assassin, Wick. Reeves himself expressed that he love both the character and the world depicted in the movie.
On the other hand, Chapter 2 director Stahelski did not go into much details when he shared his view on the potential Chapter 3 of Wick's life. However, he did mention that he would like to expand the world of the assassins even further.
However, despite the grand movie opening, plot twist, and the expansion of the storyline as mentioned by Stahelski, the realization still relies upon the audience. Even Reeves himself considers such fact as a turning point for the movie.
"Whether or not I get the chance to do another chapter is really up to the audience," Screen Rant quoted Reeves as saying.
