Moroccan midfielder Mehdi Carcela-Gonzalez scored the opening goal in the 18th minute while Colombian striker Adrian Ramos netted a brace in the 28th and 64th minutes. Brazilian winger Andreas Pereira, who scored one in the 33rd, was then sent off on the 66th together with Betis midfielder Matias Nahuel both for violent conduct.
Betis netted a consolation goal in the 75th minute courtesy of Brazilian midfielder Petros.
