Girls' Generation member Seohyun recently revealed how she convinced her father to quit smoking. The singer, who is known as one of the most innocent and righteous SM Entertainment artists, hated cigarette smell and did the unthinkable.
The youngest member of Girls' Generation guested in the most recent episode of "Knowing Bros" on JTBC where she discussed how she hated smoking and the smell of cigarettes since she was young. The 25-year-old shared an anecdote.
"My dad smoked when I was younger and I hated it so much I ate his cigarettes," Seohyun said during the program. "I put them all in my mouth and my dad quit after that."
The SM artist shocked the show's MCs with her revelation. She likewise unveiled that she was dating a celebrity who is already retired from the entertainment world. While MC Kang Ho Dong tried to delve deeper into her past relationship, he was interrupted by other guests.
Known as a prominent vocalist in her almost 10-year-old band in SM, Seohyun is enjoying success in her recent solo endeavor. Her new solo song "Don't Say No" boasts different feels and moods that strengthen the presence she already has with Girls' Generation.
The youngest member of Girls' Generation is the third of the group to have a solo album, releasing hit songs like her senior bandmates. Her debut EP, which she wrote herself, "Don't Say No" was at No. 3 on the World Albums chart, achieving the most huge K-pop album in America in the fourth week of January. "Don't Say No" landed No. 23 on the Heatseekers Albums chart, which has few K-pop albums in its list, Billboard reported.
Seohyun's recent appearance in the World and Heatseekers Albums is already her third. She had been charting entries as a member of both Girls' Generation and the sub-splinter Girl's Generation-TTS composed of Taeyeon, Tiffany and herself.
The Girl's Generation maknae is set to hold her first solo concert this month, Soompi reported. The singer will perform at the SMTOWN Theatre, Seoul on Feb. 24 to 26.
