South Korean actor Yoo Ah-In is seen as a ruthless and ambitious Prince Yi Bang-Won in SBS' "Six Flying Dragons." However, the Hallyu star said he is totally opposite to his character and is a feminist.

On the 12th anniversary issue of W fashion magazine, as cited by The Korea Herald, Yoo declared himself a feminist, believing that women should have the same opportunities as men. He then said that "all men should be feminists."

"I think our society now is suffering to make headway in that direction (against discrimination)," Yoo added. "I hope people embrace each other if their reason to let people know that they are right is for a better society. I hope they do not use their conviction as a blade."

Also, Yoo revealed his take on masculinity, stating that the most attractive men and women are those who truly know themselves. He then cited self-awareness as the key to attractiveness.

"To be masculine is to be most human-like and to be oneself and to be feminine is the same," Yoo said. He added that each individual is different, stressing that individuals should focus on those differences while uniting as one.

Yoo, who made his acting debut in the 2003 teen series "Sharp 1," will star next opposite Im Soo-Jung in tvN's fantasy series "Chicago Typewriter," The Korea Joongang Daily reported. He is starring as Han Se-Joo, a young bestselling writer whose popularity skyrockets due to his handsome looks.

Im, on the other hand, transforms into a veterinarian and literary fanatic, Jeon Seol, who is an anti-fan of Han Se-Joo. Go Kyung-Pyo, who gained widespread fame after starring in tvN's "Reply 1988," has been cast to play the role of Yoo Jin-Oh, a highly skilled ghost writer.

"Chicago Typewriter" will take place during the Japanese occupation in the 1930s. It will be directed by Kim Cheol-Kyu and is being penned by screenwriter Jin Su-Hwan, whose previous projects include the hit 2015 drama "Kill Me, Heal Me" and 2012's "Moon Embracing the Sun."
