"Middle-earth: Shadow of War" was finally announced officially by Warner Bros. recently. The overview of the upcoming video game was also revealed.
On the official website of game developer Monolith Productions, the game publisher has officially announced the sequel of the popular "Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor." This will be the return of Talion and Celebrimor, who will go behind enemy lines to create an army and convert all of Mordor's armies against their Dark Lord, Sauron.
The game publisher revealed the overview of the video game to give fans what they should expect in the new upcoming sequel. In this new video game, they will wear a new Ring of Power and confront the deadliest of enemies. They will even face the Dark Lord himself, and his Nazgul, in a monumental battle for Middle-earth.
The upcoming open-world action-adventure video game will be brought to life through the expansion of the popular Nemesis System. The first game's personalization will now be applied to its entire world. The environments and the characters will be shaped by the players' actions and decisions, which will create a personal world unique to every gameplay experience.
Warner Bros. President David Haddad praised Monolith Productions in a statement for continuing their innovation by introducing deeper, and more personalized gameplay experienced. He also said that it was combined with authentic storytelling.
Monolith Productions Creative Vice President Michael de Plater said in a statement that they expanded the dimension of "Middle-earth: Shadow of War" due to the great reception of the first video game. They have expanded the world, the story, the RPG systems, the core gameplay, and the personal player stories through the power of the Nemesis System. He also thanked everyone for getting the privilege of bringing this game series to life in a new way, and for a new generation.
The upcoming video game will be set in between the events of "The Hobbit" and the "Lord of the Rings." It will continue the original narrative from the first video game, and will have a richer, more personal, and expansive world.
On the new official website of "Middle-earth: Shadow of War," Monolith Production revealed its official announcement trailer. It shows what happened after the events of the first game, and how the newly-created Ring of Power will come into play in this latest sequel.
