Is trouble brewing for the "Pitch Perfect 3" production? Not exactly, but filming for the third installment of the musical hit is running behind schedule. Even so, the cast and crew promise that the film will still be as sexy as can be.
According to Capital FM, filming for "Pitch Perfect 3" is underway. Stars Anna Kendrick, Brittany Snow, Rebel Wilson, Anna Camp and Hailee Steinfeld are all returning to reprise their roles. A behind-the-scenes clip shows the Barden Bellas practicing their new routine, which showcases intense dance moves.
"We're in the second of three weeks and we're only about a third of the way through," the choreographer said in the clip. After rehearsals, it was also revealed that the cast will begin recording their songs for the "Pitch Perfect 3."
Interestingly, Wilson also did a few stunts that involved her fighting off some men with guns. 36-year-old Wilson also shared a photo with the cast on her Instagram page.
So far, there has been no sighting of the Treblemakers members yet and it has been rumored that the group will not appear in the third movie. Skylar Astin, who plays Kendrick's love interest in the films, revealed that he will not be part of "Pitch Perfect 3" as well as the rest of the Trebles.
"Yes. As of now, the Trebles and I won't be in the third Pitch Perfect movie. They seem to be taking the story in a different direction," Astin wrote on Twitter.
Meanwhile, "Orange Is The New Black" breakout star Ruby Rose will join the cast of "Pitch Perfect 3." According to The Daily Mail, Ruby Rose is expected to emulate the style of her girlfriend, singer Jess Origliasso of The Veronicas, as she belts out her own tunes in the film. Rose's character is described as a triple threat that is taking the world by storm.
"Pitch Perfect 3" will be directed by Trish Sie, with Elizabeth Banks still attached as one of the film's producers. "Pitch Perfect 3" currently has a tentative release date of Dec. 22, 2017.
