It was in March 2016 when Samsung released the Galaxy S7. Since its successor Samsung Galaxy S8 has already been launched, recent reports claim that the newest flagship of the giant technology company is ready to be released this month.
It can be recalled that rumors have sprouted the web regarding the possible release of the Samsung Galaxy S8 this April. That rumor now links to reality when Samsung launched the S8 on March 29, wherein the company also revealed that the handset will be available in stores by April 21, CNET has learned.
According to the same publication, the handset will be accompanied by the S8 Plus, which has a bigger size compared to the Samsung Galaxy S8. The report also revealed that Samsung Galaxy S8 would go on for sale at $750 while the Galaxy S8 Plus would cost at $850.
The source also cited several retailers that offers installment plans for those who wants to buy but do not have enough cash on hand. It was said that Verizon offers Samsung Galaxy S8 for only $720, and with an installment plan of $30 per month for 24 months. The Galaxy S8 Plus, on the other hand, is offered at $840 or $35 per month payment for a year. Another retailer, as what was cited by the report, is AT&T, wherein the company is giving away Samsung Galaxy S8 for $25 a month for 30 months or $31.25 a month for 24 months, while the S8 Plus is priced at $28.34 a month for 30 months and $35.42 a month for a year.
On the other note, in regards to the specifications of the Samsung Galaxy S8, Trusted Reviews revealed that the device would be equipped with a 5.8-inch quad-HD infinity display (amoled) smartphone that either runs on Samsung Exynos 8895 processor for Europe and Asia or on a Qualcomm Snapdragon for the USA market. The Galaxy S8 has a 4GB of RAM and a 64GB internal storage capacity with a microSD slot upgradable to 256GB. In terms of the camera, the handset has a 12-megapixel with dual-pixel sensor rear camera, and an 8-megapixel autofocus front cam.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus pre-order was started on March 30.
