Danny Kingad is entering the ring at "ONE Championship: Kings of Destiny" as an undefeated MMA fighter. On April 21, he will fight against Muhammad Aiman in the flyweight division of the bout to be held at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines.
"ONE Championship: Kings of Destiny" will be headlined by Kingad's fellow Filipino fighter Eduard Folayang and Aiman's fellow Malaysian fighter Ev Ting. In a recent interview, I asked Aiman what his fans could expect from him in their upcoming fight.
"They will see a good fight," Aiman said. "We are both good upcoming prospects from our country so we are gonna go in there and just fight each other and give a good show."
Kingad won all of his six previous professional MMA fights. Before his fight against Aiman, Kingad defeated his fellow Filipino fighters Jiar Castillo, Eugene Toquero, Robin Catalan and Reymond Doliguez as well as Ting and Aiman's fellow Malaysian fighter Muhamad Haidar.
Doliguez lost to Kingad twice. They first fought on Oct. 24, 2015 and had a rematch on Feb. 27, 2016.
Toquero will also be featured at "ONE Championship: Kings of Destiny." He and Indonesian fighter Stefer Rahardian will fight in the flyweight division like Kingad and Aiman.
Losing to Aiman would mean first professional MMA fight loss to Kingad and third win to Aiman. On April 8, 2016, Aiman made his professional MMA debut at "Kunlun Fight 41" fighting Sung Bin Jo in the featherweight division.
Sung defeated Aiman at "Kunlun Fight 41" via a technical knockout. On Sept. 2, 2016, Aiman had his first professional MMA fight win when he defeated his fellow Malaysian MMA fighter Hisyam Sams at "ONE Championship: Unbreakable Warriors" via a unanimous decision.
Aiman had his second professional MMA fight win on Feb. 10. He defeated Brazilian MMA fighter Eduardo Novaes in the featherweight division at "ONE Championship: Throne of Tigers" via a technical knockout.
