Muhammad Aiman, 22, has yet to have his third professional MMA win. The Malaysian fighter has a message to his fans after losing to Filipino fighter Danny Kingad, 21, via unanimous decision in the flyweight division at "ONE Championship: Kings of Destiny" on April 21, Friday.
"I would like to say to all my fans out there, thank you for supporting me," Aiman said in a statement exclusively obtained by Yibada. "I really appreciate all the kind messages that I get. I am sorry I lost the fight but I hope you, guys, enjoyed that fight."
"I really feel bad because I feel like I really could do a lot more," Aiman added. "But I don't know what happened. Anyway, thank you and I really appreciate you, guys."
Before becoming a professional MMA fighter, Aiman won several amateur bouts. He defeated his fellow Malaysian fighters Bryan Lim, Ong Weng Cheng, Edwin Mook, Jackson Lee, Sea Zhang Yu, Mohammad Najib, Douglas Dann Melton Gumbilai and Hafizul Hakim.
Ong, Mook, Lee, Yu, Najib, and Hakim lost to Aiman via submission. Aiman defeated Lim and Gumbilai via unanimous decision and knockout, respectively.
On June 15, 2013, Malaysian fighter Prabu Somanaid defeated Aiman via unanimous decision. On April 8, 2016, Aiman made his debut as a professional MMA fighter at "Kunlun Fight 41" in China in the featherweight division, which was won by South Korean fighter Sung Bin Jo via knockout.
On Sept. 2, 2016, Aiman won in the featherweight division at "ONE Championship: Unbreakable Warriors" over his fellow Malaysian fighter Hisyam Sams via unanimous decision. Before facing Kingad, Aiman defeated Eduardo Novaes of Brazil via knockout in the featherweight at "ONE Championship: Throne of Tigers" on Feb. 10.
