The iOS version of Vine has received a new update which preload videos for offering a faster experience to visitors, and cache files so that they could watch it offline, without relying on an internet connection.
A strong developer team is behind this app that promotes six second videos that some has become viral. The power of the social media is so high that Hollywood started launching movie teasers on this platform. In the latest update for iPhones and iPads, the developers make Vine much faster. The app preloads everything including activity notifications, the content in the home feed as well as videos in the 'Explore' section.
Better compression techniques are utilized by the app to reduce the size of the videos which will help users avoid high data charges, says a report from Engadget. The compression will also help users load videos quicker but it has been assured that it will not affect the picture quality.
In addition to this optimization, the app will also allow users to enjoy videos offline even when they do not have an internet connection. It will allow them to enjoy those loops in situations where they do not have any data connectivity or when the device is in airplane mode.
Users are encouraged to update their Vine app to the latest version to enjoy these new features and other performance improvements. The app has also been tweaked to work better on larger screens in iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. A similar update for Android will be announced soon, confirms the report from Digital Trends.
