Could it be over for Derek and Meredith? Is Calzona done forever? Will Maggie and Richard ever have a formal, serious family relationship?
All of these questions came up before "Grey's Anatomy" Season 11 Episode 16 aired, and possibly answered after.
Following Meredith's "nightmare" call to Derek in the previous episode, the attending general surgeon confided with Maggie and Alex that the woman he heard on the other end of the line sounded happy and statuesque with great hair. However, Derek will never step out on her, Callie and the group assured her.
The episode concluded with Derek arriving on Meredith's doorstep, ready to explain himself on everything.
Meanwhile, Arizona saw Callie being kissed by her date from the Internet. This led to Callie getting angry at herself and immediately felt the need to explain herself to others about smooching another woman.
As the episode went, Arizona asked Callie about the length of time that she's been seeing the Internet date. This prompted her to feel that need to defend and herself; thus, yelling at Arizona, implying that she has got no right to ask personal questions.
Maggie, on the other hand, dealt with a patient undergoing Alzheimer's. She grew irate over the matter, where Richard had to explain to her than his late wife was diagnosed with the disease, and so is her mother, Ellis.
This father/daughter session ended with Maggie admitting that she knew, even then, that she was predisposed to the disorder.
Some other highlights were:
- Stephanie continued to be obsessed over Mer's streak, until Meredith lit into her over the matter.
- Amelia and Owen kept trying to have sex, but work kept them from doing it.
- Jackson realized that April is not fragile; hence, encouraged a sex in the car.
