Rumor has it that model Gigi Hadid is a cocaine addict, according to Us Weekly. However, her boyfriend, Cody Simpson, has refuted all claims.
“She is a good girl,” he said, as he paved his way through reporters at LAX on Thursday. “She would never touch it.”
These rumors surfaced after a 10-second video went viral on the Internet. The short amateur video was clumsily taken during the spring break party of Victoria’s Secret Pink in Miami.
In the clip, the Sports Illustrated model was clearly bending down towards a table as she took a break from dancing. Although it may seem like she was snorting cocaine, she has adamantly denied such claims.
Hadid’s mother, Yolanda Foster from “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” wrote on social media, “There is nothing on the counter.” She later added that her daughter using cocaine was “not only impossible, but insane.” However, this angry social media post has since been deleted.
“If you do not know me or have not worked with me, listen to the people who do and have,” Hadid wrote on her official Twitter page. “A situation looked like and was made into something it was not. I know who I am and what I stand for.”
She was reportedly furious and “insulted” that others would even try to mar her “good, hardworking, responsible” character, according to The International Business Times.
The editor of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition, MJ Day, came to defended Hadid’s character.
“I KNOW Gigi,” she wrote as a caption to an Instagram photo. “She has never disappointed me or this franchise. I call bulls*** on everything!”
