Fans continue to speculate on the events in one of Marvel's film line-up, "Captain America 3: Civil War", which is linked to the events in "Avengers 2: Age of Ultron."
In "Civil War", former allies Captain America and Iron Man will be divided into two opposing sides following the Superhero Registration Act. Yahoo stated that in the comics, the government was triggered to release the Superhero Registration Act after an incident involving a minor superhero team battle that caused damages, even to school children.
The plot above is different from the one in Collider. Collider noted that the registration act was passed after the events in "Age of Ultron." Ultron will have a tremendous impact in the relationship of the superheroes as well as the flow of future events.
As for the other characters, Black Widow, Hawkeye, and Falcon will be coming back in "Civil War". New superhero Black Panther will also be introduced in a cameo. It is also speculated that Spider-Man will cameo in "Captain America 3: Civil War." In the "Civil War" comic book, Spider-Man initially took the side of Iron Man and eventually transferred to Captain America's side. Along with the wall-crawler, Black Panther is also assumed to play a role in the "Civil War", since "Age of Ultron" will feature his homeland, Wakanda. Wakanda is abundant in vibranium, the mineral used to craft Cap's shield as well as some ornaments in Black Panther's costume. Ultron will also utilize vibranium to make himself stronger. Rumors say that Black Panther is Spider-Man's replacement in the upcoming film. However, it is also possible that both superheroes are present.
Two villains have been noted. First is Frank Grillo, who will be playing Crossbones, Steve Roger's assassinator in the comics version. The other one is Daniel Bruhl, who will play the role of Baron Zemo. Zemo is known as the ring leader of the Masters of Evil, a group of anti-Avengers.
Fans also speculated about death of one or more character(s) in the film. Some rumors say that Quicksilver will face his death while protecting another Avenger. Others speculate that Captain America will not make it, in line with the trailer. Even one among Black Widow, Hawkeye, and Nick Fury may not make it, as rumored by fans in Yahoo.
"Civil War" is a long way to go since the events in the "Age of Ultron" have to take its place in the Marvel timeline.
Anthony and Joe Russo are set to helm the film, with Alan Fine, Lars Winther, Kevin Feige, and Mitchell Bell as their co-producers. Christopher Markus, Stephen cFreely, Jack Kirby, and Joe Simon are set to pen the story.
"Captain America 3: Civil War" is slated to premiere in theaters on May 6, 2016 while "Avengers 2: Age of Ultron" is set to premiere on May 1.
