Amid predictions on who will win between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr., boxing legend Evander Holyfield weights in and it is in favor of the Filipino boxing champ.
According to International Business Times, Holyfield senses that the "Fight of the Century" will exhibit one of boxing's greatest "set up" scheme by allowing Pacquiao to win.
It will not be because of strength, speed nor experience, instead the victory will be handed to Pacquiao because Holyfield believes that boxing executives will interfere on the decision.
"Mayweather won't win, because from what I've seen, boxing doesn't want nobody to get out [of the sport] undefeated," Holyfield explained.
"They want to keep the money in the sport by doing things to make it happen this way: Somebody beats the man, and then somebody beats the man who beat the man, and then somebody beats the man who beat the man who beat the man who beat the man," the boxing legend added.
The boxing heavyweight is confident with his theory as he declares Mayweather's undefeated streak to end in the hands of Pacquiao. Although he believes that the match will be close, but the decision on who will come out as the victor is clear.
Holyfield's theory also states that after losing to Pacquiao, Mayweather may retire; and after a couple of season he will file for a rematch.
The rematch will be something that boxing fans would want to see, thus resulting for more cash and profit, The Post Game reported.
Witness if Holyfield's theory will come true, the bell rings for "The Fight of The Century" this May 2.
