Microsoft plans to improve its services as it expanded its partnership with Samsung Electronics.
The partnership allows Microsoft products, applications and services to be directly available on Samsung's wide array of Android devices.
Samsung Electronics' Executive Vice President of the Strategic Marketing Office, IT & Mobile Division SangChul Lee expresses the company's confidence on the new partnership.
"We believe our suite of mobile products coupled with Microsoft's productivity services will offer
users the mobility they need in both their personal and business life," said Lee.
Some of Microsoft's services that will be instantly included on Samsung's Android devices are OneNote, OneDrive and Skype.
According to Mobile Enterprise, Samsung's latest flagships Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge will now come with 100 GB of cloud storage, thanks to Microsoft's OneDrive.
The storage will also be for free for the next two years.
The business minded users are also in for a great treat from this partnership.
According to Hexus, users who will avail these Android devices under Samsung's business-to-business sales channel will be granted three premium versions of Microsoft's Office 365.
The versions will be Business, Business Premium and Enterprise. These products will go hand in hand with Samsung's very own, KNOX security solutions.
This setup will ensure enhanced productivity and updated support for business users.
Meanwhile, as the partnership with Samsung flourishes, Microsoft is also under negotiations with other huge OEMs.
The goal is for more computers, smartphone and tablets to house Microsoft's products and services.
Microsoft's Executive Vice President of Business Development Peggy Johnson reveals how importance of the partnership with huge OEMs.
"Original device manufacturers are important because they extend Microsoft services to the ecosystem," Johnson explained.
