Australia has done it once again as it won the Cricket World Cup match in Auckland. New Zealand lost by the margin of seven wickets.
From the start of the match, Australia was dominant after their strike bowler Mitchel Starc bowled the kiwi skipper Brendon McCullum for a duck. The opening spell by Mitchell Starc and Mitchell Johnson had completely destroyed the Kiwi batting lineup, reported ESPN.

The Aussies had an easy target ahead of them but their opening partnership failed to put on a great show due to the quick wicket of Aaron Finch. The Kiwi's started realizing that they had a chance of winning the World Cup.
All hopes were crushed by the Aussie captain Michael Clark. The skipper was able to provide the fuel that the innings was in need of. The final marked the end of two cricketing legends Brandon Mccullum and Michael Clark who have decided to finish their career in international one day cricket.
It was the best day in the life of the cricketing legend Michael Clark who was able to inspire his team to victory. The top run scorer of the ICC World Cup was Martin Guptill with a huge total of 547. The top wicket taker on the other hand was Mitchell Starc from Australia.
