CIA Director John Brennan said that the United States is fully confident that it can stop Iran from creating nuclear weapons even if Iran decides not to negotiate with the deals of the global community.
In his interview with the Fox News on Sunday, Brennan said that America has multiple measures at its side which can stop Iran from becoming a Nuclear power.
"President Obama has made it very clear that we are going to prevent Iran from having that type of nuclear weapon that were ... going on the track to obtain,'' Brennan added.
This is not unusual for us to see the CIA Director stepping into state's problems, but it is the first time for us to see a director gives statements which will affect the relations of two countries.
According to Dawn News, the director claimed there are many things that the U.S. has available to prevent Iran from getting a bomb.''
Iran is currently in negotiations with the six world powers in order to reach a landmark deal over the countries long disputed nuclear power. Iran wants US and other powers to lessen the sanctions on its economy.
U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry is hoping for some conclusions after his visit to London but statements such as these not only reduces the chances of a happy ending but also worsens the conditions.
The director's statement were not a huge disruption in the talks instead they were some of the common reactions we all have been waiting from the U.S. side. It has been a difficult situation for Iran on the other hand which was hoping for a major beakthrough which could only be achieved through U.S.
The director also acknowledged, "So if they decide to go down that route, they know that they will do so at their peril.''
In response to a question on the keeping record on Iran's nuclear plans, Brennan told them that the US intelligence knew its intentions long before then even they planned.
