With almost a 100 billion emails shared across the world in one day, web experts have carried out a study recently to know the time frame in which the emails are answered by the people and concluded that the majority of the emails were answered within 2 minutes of reading the mail.
And as if this was not surprising enough, almost 90 percent of this group of people were known to answer to the email within 24 hours, leaving no scope for the mail to go unanswered. Also, around 50 percent answered it within 47 minutes; but the astounding response of 2 minutes was the fastest and the most prominent response which was observed in the study, Value Walk reported.
It was also found the most of the replied emails contains words ranging from 5 words to 43 words, which was said to be a decent amount of words to give an appropriate reply, states ABC News .
And when it came to demographics, the younger the recipient, the faster the mail was answered, revealed the study. Teenagers took 13 minutes to answer a mail, middle aged people took 51 minutes and old people took 47 minutes to give a response to the email which they received.
And for those who got around 100 mails in a single day, they were said to reply to only 5 percent of those mails. This was in contrast to those people who got lesser amount of emails in a single day, and they were revealed to answer almost 25 percent of their mails. Lesser the replies, the faster the inbox piled up.
