"Pitch Perfect 2" star Rebel Wilson walked on the MTV Movie Awards stage while wearing the famous Victoria's Secret angel wings as a means of protest.
In a recent interview with Confidenti@l, the Australian actress revealed that her protest was borne out of the fact that the biggest brands never hire plus size models for their campaigns.
"I think one of the messages is that we are all beautiful and sometimes girls look at Victoria's Secret models and think to model themselves after that. I really don't think that is the best," she told the publication.
"Even though they are called models, they are not the best people to model yourself after, and I would like to encourage other girls to think like that," Wilson added.
Talking about her angel wings on Sunday night's award show, the actress revealed that it was actually made by a costumer in Dubai and was flown all the way in for the event, the New York Daily News reported.
"I love it. The wings are slightly uncomfortable, especially when people knock into you. This will be my cardio for the day. I have had to walk about three flights of steps and these weigh about 20 pounds," she teased.
When the publication asked whether or not she would ever walk for a lingerie giant, Wilson simply revealed that she sometimes wear bras from these brands.
"The director Michael Bay got me onto those," she joked.
In other news, Wilson's upcoming movie, "Pitch Perfect 2" is slated for release next month.
